Leandros holds on for success
Leandros is set to be stepped up to Listed grade after a battling success in the Bill Whitehead Memorial Race at Naas.
Johnny Murtagh got to the front a furlong out on the Ger Lyons' trained gelding and he stuck on gamely to see off the challenge of Three Rocks by a head.
"He gained a lot of experience in Dubai and didn't run as bad as his form would suggest at Chester ," said Lyons.
"He got a great ride from Johnny today. We'll step him up to Listed company but he'll have to improve again."
