Latham at his best aboard King Of Aran
Keagan Latham put in good peformance when getting up in the closing stages to land the Panoramic Restaurant Auction Race aboard the Michael Grassick trained King Of Aran for owners the Don’t Tell The Missus Syndicate.
Latham who was in rear from over 1 ½f out on the Val Royal colt, soon switched to outer and kept on well to lead close home and deny the Kevin Prendergast trained Midnight Mover by a short head.
Winning trainer Grassick stated afterwards, “We bought this fellow for €14,000 at the Dundalk Breeze Up Sale. He ran very green at Leopardstown first time out and he’s still a bit raw. Keagan gave him a great ride, he’s a proper rider.”
“We will possibly go for a winner’s of one now or maybe a nursery. We will see how the handicapper treats him after this.”
