Latham Doubles-Up in Finale
Keagan Latham, earlier successful aboard Wealdmore Wave for his boss, Ger Lyons, doubled-up in the concluding Navan Lions Club Handicap on Ice Bound for John Hayden.
In a race where many were fancied, this son of Verglas, owned by the trainer's son, Stephen, was a result for the books, returned at 16/1.
Hayden said: "He is a cast-off of Lady O'Reilly. He has come to himself and is very sound and easy to train and I would have no doubt that he will stay a mile and a half. He is from a good family and is by a sire that would like that ground." (EM)
