Lancetto scores for Hartnett
Curragh based trainer James Hartnett saddled 9/2 shot Lancetto to take the Curracloe Maiden Hurdle at Wexford today.
Kevin Coleman tracked the leaders throughout on the Dubai Destination gelding before taking up the lead five from home.
He was briefly headed at three out but the pair were soon back in front and edged ahead on the run-in to post an easy ten length win over Taralga
A delighted Hartnett said afterwards: "He was a high class horse on the flat and he got his ground today."
"He was never going in the ground the last day in Clonmel. He did what we thought he'd do today."
"He's for sale and if he's not sold we'll probably head to Fairyhouse or Punchestown next."
