Chacun Pour Soi has been ruled out of today's Grade 1 Paddy's Rewards Club Chase leaving Envoi Allen to face just two rivals in the 2m1f contest.
Willie Mullins' nine-year-old, five times a winner at the highest level, would have been bidding to return to his best after disappointing in the Tingle Creek at Sandown earlier in the month but was found to be lame this morning.
Much attention will still surround Henry de Bromhead’s Envoi Allen who couldn't build on his reappearance victory at Down Royal when only managing sixth place behind Allaho in the John Durkan Memorial Chase at Punchestown
While his superstar status may be starting to wane, it will be fascinating to see if a return to the minimum trip proves to his liking. Battleoverdoyen (Gordon Elliott) runs for the first time since winning at Galway in July, with Hilly Way Chase third Sizing Pottsie (Jessica Harrington) completes the reduced field.
