Lady Hillingdon continues Gilligan's run
The opening Super Trooper 19th June Twilight Music Mares Maiden Hurdle saw trainer Paul Gilligan continue his rich vein of form with Lady Hillingdon who following a recent double for the Galway yard at Southwell a fortnight ago.
Ridden by Andrew Lynch, the daughter of Overbury raced prominently, led from the third last, and although headed at the final flight, battled back gamely to eventually get her head back in front close home for a three parts of a length win over Carpetcall
Afterwards Gilligan reported "Lady Hillingdon really deserved that win and hopefully the handicapper wont be too harsh on her. We'll freshen her up before running again and maybe head for Galway as her owners are local lads and keen to go there."
