Kris Kindle gained a deserved win and landed some nice wagers into the bargain when successful in the John Buckley Auctioneers Mares Maiden Hurdle at Killarney.
The seven-year-old mare had plenty of chances in bumpers but had the made the frame on all three starts since switched to hurdles this year.
Available at 11/2 this morning, the 7/2 chance was sent to the front before two out by Paul Townend, and a good jump at the last settled the issue.
Owned and trained at Castlelyons by Edmond Kent, she held 33/1 shot Troubled Soul by a length and a quarter with Who Told Jan another two and a half lengths away in third.
Kent said, "She deserved that. We made a mistake with her early on thinking she wants heavy ground but that's her ground and I knew she was in really good form.
"Her mother came from American and she has an American pedigree. She is also better going the other way around (right-handed)."
