Keoghs realising his potential at Kilbeggan
Keoghs Bar got in as a reserve to the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Handicap Chase at Kilbeggan and he took his opportunity with aplomb under Eddie O'Connell.
Irene Monaghan 's previously frustrating gelding won over the course and distance just over a fortnight back and here he asserted from before the last where he made a slight mistake, on the way to accounting for Future All Star by two and a half lengths.
Joe Byrne, representing the winning owner/trainer, said: "He'll probably go to Killarney for something now. If all goes to plan there he'll go for the Galway Blazers at the Festival."
