Julie's Jet takes opener at Tipperary
The opening race at Tipperary this afternoon, the Longfield Stables EBF Maiden was won by newcomer Julie’s Jet from the John Oxx stable under Fran Berry for owner Lady O’Reilly.
Berry was always prominent on the Cape Cross filly and produced her to lead from over one furlong out and kept on well for a one and quarter length win over the fast finishing Knights Templar
The 9/10 favourite Captain James Cook from the Aidan O’Brien stable was hard ridden in rear leaving the back straight and kept on to finish a moderate sixth.
