Jim fixes it in bumper
Jim Will Fix It just came out the right side of a tight photo-finish to the concluding paddypower.com “Future Champions” (Pro/Am) Flat Race.
The 8/1 chance took it up around halfway in this Grade 2 event, and looked to have stolen a march on his rivals when kicking a few lengths clear early in the straight.
However Stephen Byrne's mount began to drift away from the rail inside the final furlong and Mississippi River only failed to get up on the inner by the minimum margin.
“We'll either go next for a maiden hurdle or else a winners-of-two bumper at Naas in about six weeks time. He'll certainly be better on better ground, and he had to be tough as the ground is very demanding today,” said successful trainer Seamus Roche who is based in Co. Kilkenny.
