James Puts Barry Back in the Number One
The Derek Barry-trained Inoma James was well-backed in the morning for the Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Chase and he duly justified the support with an all-the-way three and a half length win under Sonny Carey.
This Pierre gelding was crediting Kildare handler Barry with a first win since Sergeant Bill scored at Tipperary in July 2001. Successful owner, P.J.Donovan was on holiday in South Africa. The light blue and pink spots were carried by good horses in the past such as Barney Burnett. (EM)
