Trainer John Joe Walsh maintained his excellent strike rate at Limerick and his Jackemil landed a gamble (7/1 – 7/2) to land her second course win, and third in total, in the Patrickswell Handicap today.
Ridden by Ben Curtis, the daughter of Bachelor Duke ran out a two and three parts of a length win over Star Links
Afterwards Doneraile, Co Cork based Walsh said “that's her second win around here and she is a good filly. She ran well from five pounds out of the handicap at Naas and still ran well from a bad draw. For those reasons I thought she had a great chance today and while she's entered at Gowran on Wednesday, won't run. We'll find another handicap for her somewhere again next.”
