In-form Lordan bags another double
Circling holds on from Sierra Sun

Wayne Lordan maintained his enviable recent strike-rate at Fairyhouse today when completing a double, both for trainer David Wachman, in the concluding Bobbyjo Bistro Great Value Packages Fillies Maiden on the Magnier/Tabor/Smith owned Circling
The winner was pressed by fast finishing newcomer Sierra Sun near the line but held on for a head win, providing Lordan with his eighth winner in the past seven days.
The jockey rode a treble at Cork last Friday, then added winners at the Curragh on Saturday (in the Greenlands Stakes) and Sunday and added another at Ballinrobe on Monday before today's wins on Wachman's Pearl Earing and Circling.
Following his latest win, Lordan said “she was entitled to do that on form and the step up to 1m2f was ideal for her and she'll get further as well.
“She was 'in' twice this year but was taken out because it was too soft and she got away with that ground today. She'll appreciate better ground and she was just pricking her ears at the line.”
