Ice man Condon wins Tramore opener
The opening ‘Beginners To Racing’ 3YO Maiden Hurdle at Tramore this evening went to the Gordon Elliott trained Ice Factor, which benefited from a hurdle previous run at Roscommon recently.
The daughter of Iceman, under a well judged ride from Davy Condon, tracked the leaders, came under pressure before two out but stayed on gradually to eventually head Solaras Exhibition on the run-in.
Afterwards Elliott said “she’s honest and stays going although I thought the track would be a but sharp for her. She is owned by the Travellers Rest Syndicate, from Strabane, Co Tyrone.”
