Jessica Harrington's Hint Of Frost rewarded his supporters when seeing out the extended mile and a half in Tipperary very well.
He was supported throughout the day from 6/1 down to 7/2 on the off for this step up in trip.
There were fully six horses in with a chance spread across the track at the furlong pole but it was Hint Of Frost who found most to grab a narrow lead in the final 150 yards.
From there he was driven out by Tom Madden to oblige by a length and a half.
A pair of 10/1 shots in Gibson Park and Runmhar came in second and third respectively.
“I'm delighted for Tom. I think that's his first winner for Jessie and he's in the yard full-time,” said head lad Eamonn Leigh.
“The boss man John bred him and I think that's nearly the last of them.
“Tom rode him in Leopardstown and thought he might have needed the run as he got a little tired.” Lord Justice the 10/3 favourite, stumbled and unseated Donnacha O'Brien on leaving the stalls.
