Henro completes double for O'Hares
Katie Walsh was seen at her best when giving Henro Boy a power packed ride in the concluding bumper to complete a double for the O'Hare family at Downpatrick.
The Michael O'Hare-trained gelding looked in trouble as he came under pressure heading down the hill in the finale. Smokey Joe Joe looked to have things in control as he cruised in front but he found little when tackled at the furlong pole.
Henro Boy galloped on strongly on the run-in to record a five-and-a-half length success.
"She's some rider! He'll have two weeks in the field now before going for a maiden hurdle at Listowel," said O'Hare.
"We only have the two in at the moment but there are 20 others riding out for the winter." Turner Brown had also scored for connections earlier when landing the Contry & Western Raceday Maiden Hurdle.
