Heffernan shines on Anshan
Anshan Dreams rounded off a great weekend for Seamus Heffernan when claiming the concluding Oriel Handicap at Dundalk.
The Adrian Maguire-trained gelding got the better of Keelaghan after the pair battle it out in the final furlong, recording a hard-fought half-length success.
Heffernan came to the meeting on a high having partnered Cape Blanco to success in the Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown on Saturday.
"Seamie gave him a fantastic ride. He had a little feel of him on a couple of runs beforehand," said Maguire.
"He's a horse that's waiting to go hurdling but I just need to mind him as he had a little bit of leg trouble in the past."
