Heavy ground and Status Yellow wind warning at Navan

Conditions are sure to be extremely testing underfoot at Navan this afternoon where there is also a Status Yellow wind warning in place from Met Eireann.
There was a further 13mm of rain overnight at the County Meath venue and the going is now described as heavy with some more light showers forecast.
The feature race on a seven-race card beginning at mid-day is the €100,000 Bective Stud, Tea Rooms And Apartments Handicap Hurdle with 17 runners going to post. Will Do and Canal End currently head the market at around the 4/1 mark for this 3m1f event while Espanito Bello is another leading fancy.
Will Do’s trainer Gordon Elliott has many strong chances on the afternoon including Caldwell Potter (12.32), Stellar Story in the Grade 2 Tote Navan Novice Hurdle at 1.07, Mars Harper (2.17), Saint Felicien (2.52) and the odds-on My Trump Card in the bumper.
