Hayes records double for Lady O'Reilly
David Myerscough trained his first winner for Lady O’Reilly when Saponara landed The Croom House Stud EBF Fillies Handicap under Chris Hayes making it a double on the day for the jockey and owner.
Winning trainer Myerscough said afterwards, “I’m delighted with that, it’s my first winner for Lady O’Reilly. She was lost in the ground last time she ran at The Curragh as she needs it top of the ground. In hindsight I probably shouldn’t have run her but in hindsight the handicapper dropped her a few pounds which made the difference here. We’ll what the handicapper does before we decide where to go next.”
