Harrisons on the mark with Cheer Up
Amateur rider Katie Harrison partnered her third career winner, and her first over hurdles, when she combined with her mother and Portlaoise based trainer Cathy Harrison to win the Holy Cross Maiden Hurdle at Thurles today with Cheer Up
Harrison raced the son of Rudimentary prominently throughout, led from four out before staying on well for a length and three parts win over Benefit Scheme
The winning rider later briefly reported “Cheer Up was unlucky not to win a bumper and was a little slow to jump hurdles but did it well today.”
