Alpine Star's handler Jessica Harrington was on the mark in the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) Maiden at Leopardstown today as she trained a winner for joint owners Robert Scarborough and John Magnier with debutante Oodnadatta
The Scarborough-bred daughter of Australia, out of Magnier's own four-time Group 3 winner Bewitched, made all in her length and a half win under jockey Shane Foley and afterwards the trainer's daughter Kate Harrington mentioned “we had that race earmarked for her for a good while.
“She'll more than likely take the same route that Cayenne Pepper did, a winners of one and then the Flame Of Tara Stakes.
“It's good to get a winner for that team.”
