Harrington and Citizenship have the Power
Citizenship made a winning handicap hurdle debut in the Follow Punchestown On Facebook Novice Handicap Hurdle at Punchestown today, completing a double for jockey Robbie Power.
Afterwards winning trainer Jessica Harrington stated “Citizenship was very good there. I was a bit worried because it was his first run in a handicap but it was his first run in a while at Down Royal the last day when he blew up.
“I thought the ground might be a bit too tacky for him today but he did it well. We’ll find another handicap for him now.
Harrington’s Starling Lady also filled the runner-up spot under 7lbs claimer Kevin Sexton, who partnered a winner at Dundalk yesterday evening, and Harrington mentioned “I was pleased with Starling Lady too, that was Kevin’s first ride over hurdles.”
