Happy Jacky (10/3) got the better of fellow ten-year-old Beacon Edge to win the RBC Brewin Dolphin Hurdle in the hands of Peter Smithers.
Paddy Ryan's homebred led from the second and made the rest to beat his contemporary by four and half lengths.
A four-time winner for Ray Hackett, this was his second success in three starts for Mark Fahey after a handicap victory at Kilbeggan last month
The son of Milan didn’t come back into the winners’ enclosure and Smithers explained, “He gets a bit overheated and Mark is down with him in the stable yard getting plenty of water on him but he’s fine.
"When he gets his own way in front he’s a good horse.”
