Great start for De Bromhead's Conrad
Conrad Hastings and David Mullins

The Clipper Logistics Group Ltd have seen their colours carried by some good horses in both codes and there should be plenty to look forward to with their Conrad Hastings (10/1) too. At the first time of asking the Flemensfirth gelding impressed under David Mullins in the Hotel Minella Maiden Hurdle at Tipperary.
Two to five chance Dont Kick Nor Bite couldn't live with Conrad Hastings from the penultimate hurdle and he had ten lengths in hand at the finish.
Winning trainer Henry de Bromhead said:"He's a lovely horse and we always thought a fair bit of him. He had been doing some really nice bits of work; he's a buzzy horse and I didn't want to drive him mad by running him in a bumper.
"It's hard to do it (over hurdles) first-time out and he should make into a chaser in time. He'll be left out on grass now and is still a novice for next year.
"That's my first runner for the Parkins (Clipper Logistics) and David gave him a super ride."
The Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Bomber Jackson ridden by J.M. Moore, and trained by Mrs. Y. Dunleavy. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. J.M. Moore, stated that his instructions were to drop his horse out and ride a race, bearing in mind he has been keen on the flat. He added that the horse was unable to go the quick early pace but stayed on past beaten horses in the straight. He concluded by saying that the horse may be suited by a step up in trip on better ground. Mrs. Y. Dunleavy, confirmed the instructions and expressed her satisfaction with the ride and also with the horse's performance. The Stewards also received a report from the Turf Club Veterinary Officer who stated that Bomber Jackson was post race normal. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanations offered.
