Measured Approval came with a well-timed run under Danny Grant to land the Trim Handicap at Navan. Big Bad Lily made a bold bid for home over two furlongs out but started to fade inside the final furlong.

Pat Flynn 's charge picked her off inside the final 100 yards and kept on to score by a length-and-a-quarter from Suspect Device Dazzle Them got up for third with the front-running Big Bad Lily eventually finishing fourth.

"I thought he didn't stay (over seven furlongs) at Gowran the last day but the stiff six furlongs suited well and he'd nearly get seven the way he ran today. He's very game," said Grant afterwards.
