Grangeclare Takes Gold in Novice Hurdle
Grangeclare Gold a three-parts sister to that good racemare, Grangeclare Lark, a seven time winner for Dessie Hughes, won her second race when landing the Todd Architects Mares Novice Hurdle.
Roger Loughran's mount overcame hitting the last hurdle, pulling out enough on the run-in to prevail by a head over Bold Bibi
Hughes said: "She is a lovely mare, a three parts sister to Grangeclare Lark. She'll go for a mile six or a mile and a half maiden on the flat."
The successful chestnut marginally headed the betting at 11/4 and Roger Loughran said of her: "The ground is the key to her."
