Good ground in Curragh

The ground in the Curragh remains good after a dry day yesterday and 3mm of rain overnight.
Light drizzle is expected today with the possibility of 2-3mm of rain. The weather clears overnight into a mainly dry day on Saturday with winds picking up. Sunday is also expected to be mainly dry.
The first action of Irish Derby weekend gets under way with a seven-race card from 5pm.
The feature is the €50,000 J.J. Mahon & Sons Handicap (7.50pm) where Dermot Weld's Nation's Call carries top weight of 9st12lb on handicap debut after winning a Gowran Park maiden last month.
