An early start today at Punchestown with the first of seven races off at 11.45am and the ground is heavy after 11mm of rain in the last 24 hours.
The forecast is for a mainly dry and windy day with some light showers.
The unbeaten Saint Felicien (lame) is a significant non-runner in the conditions hurdle at 1.20 which leaves Cilaos Emery a very short-priced favourite.
Looking ahead to Naas on Sunday where the feature is the Grade 1 Lawlor's Of Naas Novice Hurdle, the going is described as heavy, soft in places following 12mm of rain.
A further 10mm of rain from this morning into Sunday afternoon is possible according to Met Eireann.
