In advance of Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby Day at the Curragh the expectation is for the possibility of a light shower this afternoon where the going at HQ is described as good, good to firm in places.
Fresh ground will be in use where the feature is due off at 3.45 and the 8-race programme gets underway at 2.00.
It's a huge occasion for young Galway jockey Rossa Ryan as he rides Go Bears Go in the Group Two GAIN Railway Stakes and Mojo Star in the big one.
Under a pilot scheme for extented capacity at outdoor sporting events there will be 1,000 spectators at the County Kildare track.
