Wexford and Galway take centre stage today with Naas and Galway stepping up tomorrow.
The going at Wexford is reported as Soft, Yielding in places. There has been 9mm of rain since declaration time. Fresh ground will be used on the hurdle track and on the bends on the chase course.
The action starts at 1.10pm, with the feature being the Listed M.W. Hickey Memorial Steeplechase off at 3.20pm. Martin Brassil's Double Seven is the morning-price favourite for that contest. He is going for a five timer after landing the Midlands and Munster Nationals.
In Ballybrit, following 4mm of rain overnight the ground remains Soft. The card gets under way this afternoon at 1.25pm and tomorrow at 1.35pm. The highlight today is the Grade 3 Faber Audiovisuals Ballybrit Novice Steeplechase at 3.35, in which Fairyhouse winner Shrapnel heads the market for Gordon Elliott and Davy Russell.
With tomorrow being a bank holiday in the Republic, Naas (1.15) is also on in addition to Galway. The going at Naas is Yielding to Soft. Showers are forecast for later today and rain tonight. It should be blustery and mostly dry tomorrow afternoon.
