Global Export landed a thrilling renewal of the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Steeplechase by a head for Gavin Cromwell and Conor Stone-Walsh.
The 9/1 shot stayed on well in the closing stages of this extended 2m4f contest to get up close home. On Lovers Walk (28/1) was the horse collared by him and he had to settle for the runner-up berth. Banprionsa (3/1) was a neck down in third.
Stone-Walsh said: "He was brilliant - he jumped brilliant the whole way round, a few small niggly mistakes but you would forgive him that. He's only had a few runs over fences.
"To be fair, when I needed him down to the last, he was good and brave.
"The pace of the race probably suited. I thought we went a good gallop and he stayed on well to the line."
