There is free entry to all racegoers at this afternoon’s rescheduled Naas meeting which features the Grade 1 Lawlor’s Of Naas Novice Hurdle.
The meeting was abandoned after just one race last Sunday due to dense fog and a two-mile handicap hurdle has been added to the card to form a seven-race programme with the action getting underway at 12.42pm.
The €100,000 Grade 1 feature has attracted seven runners with Firefox and Ile Atlantique disputing favouritism at around the 7/4 mark.
Clerk of the course Brendan Sheridan reported this morning, “After a frustrating day on Sunday, thankfully we have no frost or fog.
“We’ve had a dry few days and the ground has come back a little. The Chase track is now soft and the Hurdle track is soft, yielding in places.”
Racing also takes place under the lights at Dundalk this evening, with an eight-race card beginning at 3.37pm.
