Four-up for Adajal
Adajal completed the praise-worthy achievement of landing four handicaps in the space of less than a month by taking the Cork Handicap Steeplechase by a head under Denis Hogan.
Hogan, taking over from the suspended David Casey, got his mount to the front away from the last as the gallant Archie Boy landed a bit awkwardly, and then fended off the late charge of Truckers Delight
Charlie Swan, the successful trainer, said of the J P McManus-owned seven-year-old: "He didn't jump as well as he can and Denis was good on him. I don't know where he'll go now.
"We'll see what he (the handicapper) gives him. He could go for a flat race - we have options."
