Front-running reaped rewards again over the sharp five at Down Royal as Tide Of Time made all to secure a convincing win in the Get Your Free Trial at racingtv.com Handicap.
Trainer Eddie Lynam was landing a remarkable fourth straight success in the contest and it was the well-backed 9/2 shot (from 9/1) who did the business from his pair of runners.
Oisin Orr made use of his plum draw in stall one and grabbed the lead on the rail. His mount responded well when asked for an effort over a furlong out and soon asserted.
He kept on strongly inside the final furlong to record a two-length win over the staying on Twenty Minutes Lynam's other runner Teddy Boy was 11/4 favourite but could only finish fifth.
The winner had struck twice last season but had been well beaten on both previous outings this term.
Orr said: "He won well, he jumped and got an easy enough lead. When I asked him, he picked up and he was only doing enough in front.
"He has won it well and hopefully he can go on and win again. His last two runs he didn't show much up the Curragh but hopefully he can come on from that there now.
When asked if the Choisir gelding enjoyed front-running he added:- "Yes definitely, he was happy enough in front."
