Four on the spin for Windsor Park

Windsor Park completed his four-timer in good style at Galway with Robbie McNamara doing the steering.
The 8/11 favourite dominated the market in conjunction with Marchese Marconi (15/8) and the pair raced together at the front and held a clear lead throughout.
Hitting the rising ground inside the three furlong pole and Windsor Park was going better than his rival. He then put a couple of lengths on Marchese Marconi at the elbow and streaked away on the run-in to hit the line nine and a half lengths to the good. Sea Beat stayed on to almost catch Marchese Marconi for second.
“He’s very good. Marchese Marconi was rated 90 and was claiming 7lbs, but I had no worries about beating him whatsoever,” Robbie McNamara said.
“Between him, Silver Concorde and Vigil there’s very little between them. A mile and six is actually too short for him. If he keeps progressing he could be an Ascot Gold Cup-type horse.
“He has had his issues, but taking time with him has paid off. He’s a very very classy horse with a very bright future. I’d prefer if he went over hurdles.”
Windsor Park previously won two bumpers and a flat maiden.
This gave Dermot Weld an across-the-card double as Zawraq was victorious in Leopardstown.
