Papal Lodge completed a double on the day for Denis O'Regan and 'Sneezy' Foster when claiming the Bluegrass Novice Handicap Hurdle.
There was drama again at the last flight in the two-mile-three contest as three raced down to the last.
Front-runner Mighty Tom was joined on either side by Papal Lodge and Baltimore Bucko before the last hurdle but the later crashed out when disputing at the final obstacle.
Papal Lodge went on to record a two-and-a-half length win over the long-time leader.
The 9/2 winner was following up on his maiden hurdle win at Punchestown at the start of the month.
O'Regan said: "He jumped well and travelled well. I would say he got confidence from his win in Punchestown and got away with the ground.
"Hard to know what would have happened at the last - it's a possibility I could have got beaten but you have to jump them.
"Bit of better ground would definitely help as well going forward."
