Foolish Comment rewards Swan and Lee
The Charlie Swan trained Foolish Comment scored an easy five and half lengths win in the Barrow Maiden at Wexford today, a sixth win of the season for jockey Billy Lee.
Capable Lee was always confident on the well backed (7/1 - 4/1) son of Giant's Causeway, moving to the front over two furlongs out, before recording his easy win.
Swan was absent but Lee did report “we dropped him out the last day and today we let him creep into the race. He picked up well and did it well – he's a good ground horse.”
Favourite Bridge Mountain and joint second favourite Hot Sand were subsequently both reported to be 'slightly lame' on examination.
