Jane and Joe Foley's odds-on favourite Torpedo Alley may have 'run into one' when beaten by On Location earlier, but the session at Dundalk didn't end without reward for the County Carlow outfit who were on the mark in the closing Race & Dine Handicap with the Ronan Whelan-ridden Bomber Jackson
The gambled-on Zarliman (from around 10s earlier into 7/2) captured much of the pre-race attention but his run flattened out inside the last.
At that stage Bomber Jackson was soon in front, from the pace-setting House Limit and he went on to triumph by half a length. Zarliman ended up in fifth place.
"We're thinking of running him over hurdles. It's a possibility as he's a lovely big horse," revealed the winning trainer.
Meanwhile her husband Joe reflected: "It was a good ride by Ronan, who knows him well. He's very tough and consistent and deserved his turn again." (GC & EM)
