Tom Weekes
Flynn's first
Lenny Flynn recorded his first winner as a professional jockey when partnering Tony Seymour's Princess Ava to win the Tom McGiff Heating & Plumbing Maiden Hurdle at Tralee today.
The daughter of Lord Of Appeal chased the leaders before moving through to lead entering the straight, eventually staying on for a three length win over Sinead's Lady
Afterwards Seymour stated "I knew Princess Ava would handle the ground and she ran well when third at Kilbeggan last time out. She'll go handicapping next but where she'll run, I'm not sure, because of this weather!"
The win was 27yo Flynn's first since turning professional last June.
