Today's Navan flat winner Pita Pinta has future prospects over flights according to successful trainer Fozzy Stack, following the filly's win in the Like Navan On Facebook Handicap.
The three year old daughter of Sir Percy won a Gowran maiden on heavy ground last October and today, on her third start of the year, was produced by jockey Chis Hayes to lead inside the final furlong and beat front-running Hell Bent by three and a quarter lengths.
Afterwards Stack stated “her mother Bantam ran well in the Mares’ Novice Hurdle at Cheltenham (fifth behind Limini in 2016) so that might be something that we could look at and see if she can jump.
“She stays well and she likes the ground. The owners have been very patient with the dry summer.
“She’s in at Galway again on Monday and she might go there.”
The Pita Pinta Asturiana is a Spanish breed of chicken.
