Flicker too strong for rivals
Velvet Flicker ran out a convincing winner of the two-year-old conditions event at Dundalk under Declan McDonogh.
The Kevin Prendergast-trained filly hit the front two furlongs from home and kept on well for pressure to score by two-and-a-half lengths from Wit And Wisdom
4/9 favourite Sole Power proved a major disappointment, finishing a well-beaten fourth.
"She won well and is going the right way," said McDonogh afterwards.
"She's a grand genuine mare and the ground doesn't seem to bother her. I thought Eddie's would be hard to beat."
