Michael Grassick recorded his first winner of the season when winning The New Club Stand with American Princess ridden by Danny Mullins and owned by the trainers son Michael Grassick Jnr.

Mullins made virtually all on Desert Prince gelding, was kicked clear from 2f out and kept on well to hold the late efforts of the Seamus Fahey trained Vicky Lane
