Fingers brings curtain down on Listowel
Fingers claimed the concluding race of the Listowel festival for father and daughter team Kevin and Ashling O'Brien.
The gelding was soon in front and kept on gamely when strongly pressed in the final furlong by Dirar recording a length-and-a-quarter victory.
It was the winners second outing at the Kerry track this week having finished fourth over hurdles here on Thursday.
"He's a right one - he loves it," said winning trainer Kevin O'Brien.
"I wasn't going to run him again but it was the only race left for Ashling to ride him. Where he goes next I don't know, we'll see in the next week or so."
