Ferrybank (13/2) won the seven furlong 3-y-o Handicap to give jockey Billy Lee his 26th winner of the campaign.
Very consistent at Dundalk over the winter, the Cable Bay gelding wore down the front-running Jeroboam (16/5) inside the final furlong to gain a first win on turf.
The 5/4 favourite Dixie Bluebell was one-paced back in third. A length and a quarter, and three quarters of a length, were the winning margins.
Winning trainer Ted Walsh said: “He got the trip well. Billy said he went to the line and pricked his ears as if there was more in the tank.
“We'll see where we go now, we have plenty of options. He's only three and he's getting better.
“That's his best run but he had a very good run at Dundalk behind a good filly of Joseph O'Brien's (Russian River) who is rated 96 now when he was only beaten three-parts-of-a-length over seven.
“We decided to go back to six then as we thought it might be a bit easier but it looks like he's crying out for seven. He wouldn't have won at six today but thankfully the winning post wasn't at the six!”
