Fast Lightning bolts home for Bonner
County Donegal trainer Regina Bonner recorded her second winner on the track when Fast Lightning landed the Race Sponsorship At Sligo in 2010 Handicap in the hands of Danny Mullins.
Mullins raced the son of Barathea in rear before coming with a run on the outside from over three furlongs out and kept on well to lead inside final furlong for a one and three parts of a length win over Definite Option.
A delighted Bonner said afterwards: “He’s a lovely horse to train. We will probably have to move him up in grade now as he has gone up in the ratings.”
The 11/4 favourite Sarah’s News from the Gerry Stack stable refused to come out of the stalls.
