Farrell saddles first flat winner
Cormac Farrell, who trains in Bunclody Co Wexford, saddled his first flat winner when 20/1 shot Mountain Mama came home in front in the Tattersalls Ireland EBF Fillies Maiden under Rory Cleary.
Winning trainer Farrell said afterwards, “We bought her very cheaply at the Tattersalls December Sales two years ago and we took our chance and it worked out well.
"She is so easy and straight forward to train, I couldn’t believe she was 20/1 this evening. I think she’ll improve a lot from that and we may have a look at the Birdcatcher at Naas.”
