Fairyhouse announce Grade 1 entries
Fairyhouse today released entries for their three Bar One Racing-sponsored Grade 1 races which form the centrepiece of the Fairyhouse Premier Jump Racing Weekend on 3rd and 4th December.
Hurricane Fly heads the 19 entered for the Bar One Racing Hatton’s Grace Hurdle, with trainer Willie Mullins responsible for seven entries in total including Thousand Stars, Mikael D’Haguenet, Mourad and Zaidpour.
Jessica Harrington’s Grade 1 winner Oscars Wells, the fast improving The Real Article and consistent mare Voler La Vedette also also entered.
The Bar One Racing Drinmore Novice Chase is dominated by horses owned by Michael O’Leary’s Gigginstown House Stud who has half of the 16 entries including Last Instalment, First Lieutenant, and Rivage D’or along with last year’s Cheltenham Festival winner Sir des Champs.
Tom Cooper will be aiming to bring the money back to Kerry with his Grade 3 chase winner Lucky William, while Noel Meade's Donna’s Palm and the Paul Nolan-trained Shinrock Paddy are also entered.
The Bar One Racing Royal Bond Novice Hurdle is dominated by Willie Mullins (7 entries) and Noel Meade (six). Lovethehigherlaw looks the pick of Mullins’ team, while Texas Jack Dylan Ross, Sword of Destiny and Il Fenomeno head a powerful Meade entry.
Fairyhouse General Manager Peter Roe said, “The Premier Jump Racing Weekend is promising to be the most informative jumps meeting this side of Christmas. I am delighted for Barney O’Hare and Bar One Racing with the quality of the entries for all 3 Grade 1 races.
"With 7 Graded races over the weekend and our great value packages it is a meeting not to be missed”.
Barney O’Hare of Bar One Racing added, “Bar One Racing is delighted to be associated with the Premier Jump Racing Weekend at Fairyhouse. There is a strong entry for our races and we are delighted with the quality of entries for all our races led by the current Champion Hurdler Hurricane Fly who won our race in 2010”.
