Eytarna defies topweight
Eytarna from the John Oxx stable who carried top weight ran out a cosy 1 1/2 length win of the the Ballykisteen Hotel Handicap in the hands of Mick Kinane in the colours of His Highness The Aga Khan.
Winning trainer Oxx said afterwards: “She ran well at Cork but the 10 furlongs was a bit short for her. She likes the soft ground and she’s very genuine. Her heart is in the right place.”
“We’ll see if we can win another handicap with her. She is a half sister to three Group 1 winners.”
