Jessica Harrington's Excelente landed the Blue Sky Mortgages Fillies Maiden at Dundalk, moving Fran Berry to within one winner at the head of the Jockeys' Championship.

A second winner on the night for stallion Exceed And Excel, Excelente tracked the leaders before eventually getting to the front a furlong out, staying on well for a half length win over Aadaat

Harrington later reported "Excelente put her head down to win today and is a tough, genuine filly. She improved since her last run, likes the surface and will come back here again shortly."

The win moved Berry onto the 71 winner mark for the year, one behind Johnny Murtagh at the head of the Jockeys' Championship.
