Tom Weekes
Euro is a smart lady
John McConnell's Eurosmart Lady landed the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden at Limerick today, providing apprentice jockey Shane Foley with his 19th win of the season.
The daughter of Kheleyt raced in mid division before progressing to lead under a furlong out, staying on well for a length and three parts win over Coat Of Arms
Afterwards Curragh based McConnell reported "that is my 11th winner of the year and they have included a chase, hurdle, bumper, Flat and 2YO winner!"
He added "Eurosmart Lady is a lovely filly and I was going to enter her in a Listed race this weekend. She looks capable of gaining Black-type next year, possibly on that sort of ground (heavy)."
